Este característico castillo gótico que su planta es circular, se construyó en el S. XIV y concebido como residencia real. Por orden del Rey Jaime II de Mallorca, el segundo hijo de Jaime I de Aragón el Conquistador. La primera acción bélica fue cuando el rey Pedro IV de Aragón “El ceremonioso” o el del puñalito reincorpora a la corona el reino de Mallorca.

By order of King Jaime II of Mallorca, the second son of Jaime I of Aragon the Conqueror. The first warlike action was when King Pedro IV of Aragon «The ceremonious» or the one with the dagger rejoined the kingdom of Mallorca to the crown.
